Dear Friends,
Please pray for my friend Richard Ntim, minister of the Faithway Christian Church
in Adenta, Ghana, who left Indianapolis, Indiana last night and is due back in
Ghana this evening after a 12-week visit to the U.S.A. While Richard will be
glad
to be reunited with his wife Doris, their 3 children and his church members,
he
would be faced with the shock and pain caused by the death of his right-hand
man
in the church, Brother Richard Addo, who died Saturday night after a struggle
with
prostrate gland cancer. In fact, Richard is carrying medicine donated by an
American doctor for his friend who went down rapidly between Thursday when he
could walk and talk clearly to Saturday night when he gave up the fight.
Please also pray for Sister Ophelia, Addo's widow and the six children in the
family, of whom one is a teacher at the Faithway Christian Academy . While we
miss
Brother Addo, we also give praise to God for his legacy of faithful christian
service started at the Abeka Christian Church, where I had the honor of baptizing
him and completed at the Faithway Church which was started in his home. He was
a
wise and gentle pillar in the church who spoke few words but always acted with
integrity and love:
ONWARD TO THE PRIZE BEFORE US!
SOON HIS BEAUTY WE'LL BEHOLD;
SOON THE PEARLY GATES WILL OPEN
WE SHALL TREAD THE STREETS OF GOLD
WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN
WHAT A DAY OF REJOICING THAT WILL BE
WHEN WE ALL SEE JESUS
WE'LL SING AND SHOUT THE VICTORY!
Brother Addo, Shout on, shout on, shout on..........we shall join you soon, when
our King of Kings returns!
FOR HIS GLORY AND HONOR
