Dear Friends,
GREETINGS from Tema, Ghana. Please pray with us in thanksgiving,
supplications and intercessions as in the following updates. We appreciate
your friendship and support of Ghana Christian Mission in prayers, giving
and other ways:
Thanksgiving for Jean Cain’s ( RN ) continuing work at Akplale
Clinic and
helping us in the office from time to time. Pray for her as she recovers
from a first bout of malaria attack that sent her on an overnight
hospitalization at Sogakope Hospital. God’s mercies and love are
giving her the strength to carry on His call in her life.
Thanksgiving for four new motorcycles bought for evangelists in the north by
two groups of donors from the U.S.A. ---- one group buying three cycles and
the other buying one cycle. Three of the new cycles replace older ones which
have carried the gospel over African roads for over 16 years.
Thanksgiving for safe field trips to Nkwanta, Lori, Walewale, Akplale, Ho,
Elmina
and other places by Raphael, Emmanuel and Enoch to deliver supplies , meet
with
the communities leaders and encourage the staff at the clinics and churches.
Pray for Emily Piper in Houston, Texas, who is receiving daily radiation
treatment for the brain tumor removed in February of this year. She is
recovering well and has completed one half of her prescribed treatment. The
doctors are confident that the entire tumor was removed successfully and
after the radiation treatments, Emily will be restored completely. She gives
thanks to everyone who has remembered her in prayer. God is so good to His
children.
Pray for Raphael as he continues chasing documentation to enable us to clear
a 40 foot container of supplies sent to us by FAME.
Pray for more rains in the Akosombo Dam for electricity supply to increase;
now the electricity is off more than 36 hours.
Pray for on-going eye screening for cataracts, glaucoma and pterygium
operable cases in the villages of Southern Ghana around Sogakope. Over 198
patients were screened on June 1st , with three more planned for July 6th ,
August 3rd and September 7th with the surgeries planned for September
24th – 28th when a Global Health Outreach team will visit and work with
us
from the U.S.A.
Interceed for the wife and children of the late Peter Lawoe, who died two weeks
ago while serving as the pastor of the Abeka Christian Church.
FOR HIS GLORY AND HONOR
