Sampson Darko is the GCM evangelist of 5 churches among the Akyode people group in the Nkwanta district in the northern Volta Region. Farming and petty trading is the major occupation of the 12,000+ people there, about 70% of whom are idol worshippers.
The following is Sampson's report from the mission field in early 2019. Please join us in thanking God and asking for his continued work:
Praise the Lord for His mercies. Thank God for the life giving to all the members of the church, and my family as well. The Lord had been faithful and had blessed the Keri church with five souls who have been baptized. Pray for their maturity in the Lord as we teach and disciple. Pray for the Akyode communities as rumors are spreading that the Konkombas are threatening to wage tribal war. They have tried many times. As I'm giving this report, two people are in the Police station. It took God's intervention yesterday that there was not blood shed at Keri. Pray for peace. Pray for my family. Please pray; my motorcycle is weak and I need a replacement and hopefully a vehicle. The attached pictures are the new converts. God bless you all.
