John Newman oversees 6 churches in Nkwanta and its surrounding villages, where there are more than 21,000 people (45% are idol worshippers and 25% are Muslims). He resigned his teaching job to become a full-time church planter. He has been married since 1986 and is blessed with 4 children.
The following is John's report from the mission field in August/September. Please join us in thanking God and asking for his continued work:
THANKSGIVING
Thank God for protecting and providing for the needs of my family.
Thank God that my grandson is a year old.
There had been a successful youth camp at Keri. The youth came in their numbers, and their enthusiasm was beyond understanding. They refused to stop praising the Lord even when it was raining heavily.
The women fellowship at Nkwanta organized a marriage forum to discuss the causes of problems in marriages and how to solve them. Thank God it was a wonderful time.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Pray for God’s protection and provision for the family.
Pray for our sponsors through whom we are able to get financial support to be able to minister wherever we are.
Pray that the love of the members of the church will be deepened to have passion for souls and that they will spend time for evangelism.
Pray that the members of the churches will be blessed in order to give for the support of the ministry.
