Prayer request: Please pray for peace and comfort for our sister Tina Dodoo as she grieves the loss of her father.

Eric Nyador, Good Shepherd PCC

Summary of 2020

  • Glory be to God for taking us through 2020 despite the dreadful COVID-19.

  • Five new souls were baptized in 2020.

  • The Good Shepherd Church building was upgraded by replacing the wooden structure to cement blocks. We give thanks to God and all those who assisted us in getting to this stage. We hope to continue working on the building until its completion.

  • There were two successful wedding ceremonies.

  • Two healthy babies were born.

  • One adult male passed away on December 28, 2020, but his remains have not yet been laid to rest.

Projections for 2021

  • Continuation of house-to-house evangelism and two crusades have been planned for 2021.

  • A three-days fast and prayer in February against COVID-19 and peace in Ghana as well as the whole world.

  • Preparation has started toward the formation of “Young Ladies of Purity” group in the church (Titus 2:1-3); it will be launched in April.

  • Formation of an 11-member Planning Committee in the church to start planning for the 20th anniversary of Good Shepherd in 2024.

Prayer Request

The church is requesting prayers for the Pistis Christian Churches for good health and spiritual growth.

Paul Akuteye

The month of January 2021 had been a joyful celebration as the church was able to witness the baptism of four converts. They included three ladies and one gentleman from our third assembly at Domeabra Pistis Christian Churches in Kumasi.

Prayer Requests

  • Please continue to pray for God’s grace and favor for all the Pistis churches in Kumasi as most of the congregants have lost their jobs and are struggling financially due to COVID-19.

  • Pray for the Oduom PCC as thieves broke in and stole some items on January 12; sadly, this is the third time the building has been broken into.

  • The three local churches of the Pistis family of Kumasi need one mini bus to convey our members to and from church services on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings.

  • It is our prayer that the good Lord will bring us a benevolent person or persons to help us purchase the said mini bus.

Thanksgiving

Kindly join us in thanking God for a successful celebration of a marriage ceremony between our youth leader, Mr. Alex, and Miss Lydia Owusu, both coming from the Oduom assembly of the Pistis Christian Churches in Kumasi. The leadership joined him to pay for the dowry in the bride’s hometown of Yabi in the Ashanti Region on January 22.

The blessing of the marriage was done by Pastor Francis Addai, the resident pastor of the Salaga Pistis Christian Churches in the Northern Region of Ghana on January 24 in the Oduom church auditorium of the Pistis Christian Churches in Kumasi.

Indeed your partnership and support for us as a church will not go unnoticed. May the early months in the year of 2021 bring us much blessing to help us persevere through any challenge the year might present.

John Newman

Praise: Two souls were won and baptized (no images due to phone challenges).

Prayer request: Prayer for financial support toward the drilling of a borehole for our mission house.

Pastor Felix Nsejamese, Kojobone Pistis Christian Church

I want to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the souls of the six who received their baptism (pictured).

Prayers for the growth of the churches and the souls who have just received Christ as their personal savior.

Bismark Kassata

We give God the glory for watching over us this month. By His grace, the Church is doing well both physically and spiritually.

Prayer request: Kindly pray for a happy marriage of our brother and pastor Azard John Mellebor, who has remarried after the death of his first wife.

Join us in continuing to pray for safety against COVID-19. We appreciate all our sponsors for supporting God’s work. We pray for God’s continuous blessing and protection.

David Addy Akpesey, Transformation Christian Church-Awutu Papaase

The month of January was set aside for prayers and fasting. All members were asked to actively participate in this spiritual exercise. Members fasted on their days of birth (that is Monday, Tuesday, etc.). We met every evening from Monday to Friday for prayers and teaching on the importance of prayer in the life of Christians and the church. It was a remarkably successful program.

Prayer request: We need prayers for two of our members who are sick: Deaconess Yaami Nukpese and Sister Rose Akakpo. They have been sick for the past one year. Pray for their total healing.

Ernest Nyador, Akplale Christian Church from Agave

The Lord has given life and good health to my family and church in the past month.

I request prayers for my daughter Ruth, who is getting married soon. May the Lord lead in everything to His glory.

I also request for good health for my family and church, with more souls to be won for Christ.

I want to use this opportunity to give thanks to Almighty God for His protection, provision, kindness, and compassionate shown to us, both the ministry and my family, during the month of January. God has done a lot for me and my family, especially my wife.

He has touched the office to raise special funds to support us in our medical bills, and also our friends and loved ones to pray for us and make regular calls to encourage us.

Kingsley Nyindam

We thank God for seeing us through the first month of the year. No baptism has been recorded so far. This month was a busy month for me, as I was busy putting things in order for my father's burial and final funeral rites. We thank God that everything went on well. Continue to bear us in prayers. Pray for our brethren who lost their entire livelihood to last year's floods that destroyed their farms.

Daniel Liwamor

I first of all thank Almighty God for starting the new year with us. I also thank Him for the life of my family, as well as the church members too.

Secondly, we went to Kanjido to show the Jesus Film in Konkomba language. At the end of the film, we won some souls.

Thirdly, we started fixing doors and windows on the church building.

Prayer request: I need prayers for my uncle who is seriously sick and for the entire family.

Paul Tevi Lawson
