Joseph Haruna serves with GCM in the Salaga district in the Northern Region of Ghana.
The following is Joseph's report from the mission field in December. Please join us in thanking God and asking for his continued work:
Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This letter contains my most sincere praises to God, as well as Merry Christmas to all of you, friends, fathers, and partners in our Lord Jesus Christ. We have nothing to give Him, but we can join together with praises and thanks to Him for bringing us to the end of this year too.
This time again, I want to take another opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all our donors, especially our partners in the U.S.A. for all kind of support such as materials and their continuous prayers for my life, my family, and the ministry of God.
This year has been a challenging one, but as usual as the other past year He had sail us through and this time too, He has done the same again, and for that we want to give thanks to Him.
This year is getting to the end, and so we are now reviewing our strategies which we have put down before this time. This month what we did was to call board of church elders meetings. Because we are gracious to celebrate one of our new pastors who has just graduated from mission training at C.P.T.M. (Center for Pastoral Training and Missions). This training institution is established in the Northern Region here, to train church leaders. They have just held their first graduation ceremony this month, and I was chosen by grace to attend to the ceremony as an eyewitness. Thank God that we now have a mission training center in the North here. During this meeting we deliberated on our next move in the New Year, especially how to bring on board more elders to the church leadership to enhance visitation. We also thought of how to equip the new pastor for the work, especially the means of transportation. And we thought of drawing a program for visitation as well as prayer warriors for all the churches. The last plan was the Easter convention, which is going to take place at Sege in the South next year. So, as we cross to the New Year, remember us in your prayers.
Ending with much greetings.
